This luxury package takes you from Kenya’s capital to one of the world’s famous national park- Maasai Mara National Reserve, takes you across the border to Tanzania where you will explore Serengeti National Park. The safari finally ends in Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.

Maasai Mara is a home of many wild animals including the big five; lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephants. Other hundreds of wild animals include: zebra, gazelle, wildebeest and other wildlife. On crossing the border to Tanzania, you will explore Serengeti National Park – the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, impala, buffalo, and birds and up to ten thousand elephants. Your accommodation is in 5 star luxury camps. Meal Plan is on full board basis.

 

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

Our representative will meet you at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport to facilitate your transfer to Hemingway's hotel for a well deserved overnight rest.

If your flight arrives in the morning we will offer a complimentary day tour to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center.

 

Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Early morning breakfast followed by a transfer to Wilson airport to catch your mid-morning departure flight to Maasai Mara.

The flight to Maasai Mara takes about an hour, upon arrival you will be met by our driver guide who will pick you from Maasai Mara airstrip and drive you to Governors Camp. You will enjoy a short en-route game drive on your way to the camp; arrive at camp on time for your lunch, a brief afternoon siesta followed by an evening game driven till dusk. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Maasai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It’s regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five.

Day 3: Explore Maasai Mara Reserve.

You will wake up to a relaxed morning breakfast after which you will depart for a morning game drive exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. At midday, you will return back to camp for your lunch followed by an afternoon siesta before leaving for an evening game drive till sunset. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

On this day, you will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara River. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 4: Explore Maasai Mara Reserve.

On this day you have an option to partake in an early morning balloon ride over the Mara plains that will be crowned by champagne breakfast. A Maasai Mara Balloon Safari is the best way to experience Maasai Mara from a very exclusive vantage point as you drift over the Maasai Mara Plains breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. A Maasai Mara balloon ride is also a chance to interact with family, friends and create memories never to be erased and an adventure of a lifetime the perfect way to crown off your Maasai Mara safari. After your champagne breakfast, you will enjoy an en-route Morning game drive as you drive back to the camp. You will have your lunch and head out in the late afternoon to the Maasai Village for a cultural encounter. After learning about the Maasai culture you will enjoy an evening game drive till sunset then head back to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai Mara- Serengeti.

Early morning breakfast, check out and depart to the airstrip to catch your 08:15 flight to Serengeti. This is an inter-connecting flight (Mara- Tarime- Serengeti). You will arrive at Seronera airstrip in Serengeti at 12:10 pm where you will be met by our driver for your transfer to your camp. Arrive for your lunch, afternoon siesta, followed by an evening game drive till dusk. Serengeti National Park is home to lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Lot of birds include the Eurasia migrants.

Day 6 & Day 7: Explore Serengeti.

Spend two days exploring Serengeti National park on morning and afternoon game drives. Serengeti is very large and your guide knows very well how to locate animals within the park. Serengeti means endless plains in Maasai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopards, lions, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl.

 Day 8: Serengeti- Kilimanjaro

After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Seronera airstrip to catch your 2 hour flight to Kilimanjaro (11am-1pm) to catch your Pm departure flight.
